In search of the perfect pint
In the search for the perfect pint, my home brewery has gone from simple beer-kit fermentation to the full monty of all grain brewing, cooling, carbonation and kegging/bottling. My beer, brewed for my own consumption along with visiting friends, cuts no corners to achieve the best possible results . The only ingredients are filtered water, the finest grain, hops, yeast and finings derived from seaweed. Nothing else is added, making it suitable for vegans and anybody who would rather no pollute their body unnecessarily.
Metal Detecting
A passion for the the ancient and a supportive local farmer has driven me to many hours in the fields around my home expanding local history through historic finds. By combining brewing and detecting I can offer land owners more than the remote possibility of shared treasure.
Climbing
Hill walking, climbing, Via Ferrata, in fact anything involving mountains that keeps the pulse racing
Cycling
Friendship and racing both on the road in the warmer months and virtually in the Winter keeps the fat to a minimum. But things occasionally go wrong.
Whisky
Last but not least, finish the evening with a single malt served with fine food and great company
